Day 7 M’dala Old Legs Cape Tour
REGISTRATION DAY:
A well needed rest from cycling.
Cape Town was buzzing with excitement. Streets filled with people, bikes, trailers, food stalls & merchandise – roads closed and organiser’s setting up for thousands of spectators. The Expo was held in the World Cup Rugby Stadium. As we get closer to the home of The Stormers excitement grows and the first thing we see as we enter is a life size poster of our very own Old Legs Poster Boy, Ali, on his bike in full Zim regalia. A proud OLT moment.
The Expo has a dazzling array of anything bike & health related. We wonder around with wide eyes. The organization was incredible – efficient and helpful staff processed 30,O00 cyclists with no queues. BRAVO CTCT
After registration we all gathered at the Royal Yacht Club to meet the M’dala Trustees Nick and Richard. A great Venue – kudos to Gary! After filling our faces, and promises to gather at a garage at 7:15am, it was home to set up bikes, electronic tags, flags, snacks & drinks for the ride… then off to bed
